Event Details

Need help with your mortgage? Trying avoid foreclosure? The landmark federal mortgage settlement with banks and the new California Homeowners Bill of Rights were put in place to help bring relief to thousands of homeowners.  Please join me for a town hall and get connected to a HUD-approved housing counselor that can help you work with your servicer or lender to try to prevent foreclosure, understand your mortgage options, and find a solution that works for you.

6:30 PM: Town Hall on Policy Updates

The National Mortgage Settlement secured $18 billion for California homeowners.  Come find out if you’re eligible for assistance.  New California laws will prevent banks from foreclosing on homeowners while they are attempting to get loan modifications and ensure that you have a single point of contact to address your loan.  Learn how new state laws can help you, get your questions answered and share your experience.

7:30 PM: Resource Fair with Housing Counselors & Banks

Meet 1-on-1 with HUD-Certified Counselors to identify mortgage loan payment options and solutions to your unique situation.  All services are provided at no cost to you by non-profit housing organizations.
